Help at home

Computer help
at your home.

A new computer to set up, a printer that won’t connect, or a home office that keeps interrupting your day. Someone from our local team comes to your home and sorts it out with you.

What we work on

Software, accounts
and networks.

From a laptop that refuses to behave at home, to the computers and Microsoft 365 a ten-person office runs on. Done at your desk, or remotely when that’s quicker.

  • Windows and macOS faults
  • New computer and printer setup
  • Accounts, email and passwords
  • Malware, slowdowns and clean-ups
  • Moving files between working machines
  • Routers, mesh, home and office Wi-Fi
  • Microsoft 365 and staff PCs
01Everyday jobs we can take on

The problems we can help with

  • Set up a new computer

Accounts, updates, applications and everyday settings, with your preferences and permissions.

  • Move from a working old computer

Transfer agreed files from a functioning device. We discuss backup and what is moving before starting.

  • Connect printers and peripherals

Set up suitable printers, screens and everyday accessories, and check the result with you.

  • Work through software problems

Investigate an everyday fault, explain what can be done and agree the next step.

  • Get a home office working

Prepare the equipment and connections you need for your working day. Employer-managed devices require authorisation.

For a quick fix

Remote support

A small software or setup problem may not need someone at your door.

If a short remote session will fix it properly, we’ll say so, and it can often happen sooner than a visit. A guide session is £49 for 30 minutes. You know who is connecting, authorise access and can end the session.

We do not ask you to send a password through an enquiry form. Payment details, employer-controlled systems and sensitive files need particular care.

A few useful answers

Before you get in touch

Can you come today?
Sometimes — it’s always worth asking. We confirm an arrival time once we’ve looked at the job and the route, and if a remote session will fix it properly, that is usually sooner than a visit.
What if the problem cannot be fixed during the visit?
You’ll know what we found, what it would take to put right, and whether someone else is better placed to do it. Diagnosis and troubleshooting are charged on the basis we agree before booking — except where the fault turns out to be physical hardware, which is covered by the ten-minute hardware-triage exception.
Can you help with Wi-Fi too?
Yes. Router and mesh configuration have their own scope. Read about Wi-Fi help or describe the symptoms in your enquiry.
What don’t you do?
We work on software, settings and networks, not physical repair — so no component or screen work, drive recovery, cabling or electrical work. If the first ten minutes show the fault is physical, we say so, point you to someone who repairs it, and there is nothing to pay for that appointment. Once it is back, we can set it up again.
Do I need to hand over my passwords?
Not through the enquiry form. Where a sign-in is needed, we agree an appropriate way for you to authorise it. You remain in control of your accounts.
