Wi-Fi & home networking

Wi-Fi and
mesh setup.

When the Wi-Fi stops at the wrong room, the new router changes everything or a mesh kit is still in its box, we can check what’s happening and help with the setup.

We come and check the property first: the layout, the equipment and the incoming connection all matter.

CONNECTIONS THROUGH THE HOME

Illustrative layout. Placement and testing depend on your home.

What we work on

Software, accounts
and networks.

From a laptop that refuses to behave at home, to the computers and Microsoft 365 a ten-person office runs on. Done at your desk, or remotely when that’s quicker.

  • Windows and macOS faults
  • New computer and printer setup
  • Accounts, email and passwords
  • Malware, slowdowns and clean-ups
  • Moving files between working machines
  • Routers, mesh, home and office Wi-Fi
  • Microsoft 365 and staff PCs
01Find the actual problem

Wi-Fi checks and setup

  • A replacement router

Configure compatible equipment and reconnect the ordinary devices you need.

  • A room with unreliable coverage

Check placement, connections and realistic options for the space.

  • A mesh kit that needs setting up

Configure compatible customer-owned equipment, test it and explain the setup.

  • A home office that keeps dropping out

Work through the connection path and separate local Wi-Fi issues from an incoming-service problem.

An important distinction

Wi-Fi faults and broadband faults

If the incoming connection is at fault, buying more Wi-Fi equipment may not help. We aim to separate a problem inside the property from one that needs your internet provider.

We cannot repair an ISP’s external network or promise more speed than the connection and equipment can provide. New equipment is proposed only after the problem and costs are explained.

Hidden cabling, electrical work, drilling, work at height and complex commercial networking are not part of this service.

03How we work

Know the problem, the charge and the next step.

  1. 01

    Tell us about the job.

A plain-English description and your location. No passwords or sensitive documents.

  2. 02

    Agree the scope and charge.

We check whether we can help, explain the work and confirm a visit or project start.

  3. 03

    Get the work done.

Any material change to the agreed job is discussed before additional chargeable work.

  4. 04

    Know what changed.

We explain the result, leave the relevant details with you and agree any follow-up.

A few useful answers

Before you get in touch

Do I have to buy a new mesh system?
No. We check your existing setup first. If replacement equipment is appropriate, the specification, ownership and cost are agreed separately.
Can you configure equipment I bought myself?
Usually, provided it is compatible with your connection and the job is in scope. Send the model names, not account passwords, in your enquiry.
Will every room get the same speed?
Not necessarily. The incoming service, walls, distance, interference, equipment and connected device affect the result. We explain tested performance rather than promising a universal speed.
Can you help at a small office?
Yes. We take on small-office Wi-Fi jobs, and office Wi-Fi is covered on our support plans. Employer authorisation, existing management arrangements and business disruption need checking before anything is changed.
